Unstable has version 6.1.20-1 aka 6.1.0-7-amd64, can you try whether the problem is still present in that version? If it does, then sharing the output when you *manually* mount the drive successfully on 6.1.0-5-amd64 and when you do the exact same thing on 6.1.0-6- amd64 with the failure, so it shows some error message(s).
