Package: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64
Version: 3.2.30-1

During boot with acpi=off the following message is logged:
[
BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffff88022142a4f0
...
]
The full dmesg output is attached. Related is the bug 689420: with acpi=on it is impossible to boot.

Currently, some hardware is not used by linux, e.g., the touchpad.

Any help?

Jaakov.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
