Bug#703798: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: enables audio on DVI–HDMI output, disabling analog audio input on TV

Dear Maintainer,

Upgrading from linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.35-2 to linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.39-1 disables the analog audio input on my LG 42LH70YR television connected via a DVI-to-HDMI adapter to the DVI connector on my MSI NX8600GT-T2D512EZ. The problem persists on linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.39-2.

I suspect this might be due to it enabling digital audio output on the connection, which in turn makes the TV disable its analog input to use the audio signal received via HDMI instead.

I don’t have the S/PDIF output connected to the VGA card (and I don’t think S/PDIF–HDMI audio routing would work in any case?), so this leaves me without audio on my TV.

Audio transport should be disabled in this case to allow the use of the alternative analog audio input for DVI/HDMI provided by displays which select the audio input source automatically.
