Bug#677472: Regarding NVIDIA chipset and non-ASUS hardware OHCI USB (Reply to Message #204)

Hi,

I am writing this in reply to Message #204.

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=677472#204

I do own fair number of NVIDIA chipset mainboards from ASUS, ECS, and MSI.
I will say that none of my ECS and MSI mainboards with NVIDIA chipset are impacted by OHCI USB and ACPI S3 State resume bug.
It seems only ASUS made products like impacted by this bug.
Of course, I didn't notice this until now.
Anyway because I am traveling, I cannot take an inventory of all the NVIDIA chipset mainboards I own, but I can comment on at least some of them I can remember.

ECS NFORCE4-A939 (
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=493&CategoryID=1&MenuID=47)

One of my most stable Ubuntu box I have in the apartment.
No problem with ACPI S3 State resume or USB.
nForce 4 chipset

MSI NF980-G65 (http://www.msi.com/product/mb/NF980-G65.html)

I typically use this mainboard as a Windows 7 box.
I don't ever recall having USB related issue with this mainboard.
One of the last NVIDIA chipset mainboard. (nForce 980a SLI chipset)

MSI GF615M-P31 (http://www.msi.com/product/mb/GF615M-P31.html)

I typically use this mainboard in a Windows XP box.
I don't ever recall having USB related issue with this mainboard.
NVIDIA GeForce 7025 & nForce 630a chipset (1 chip, not 2 chips)

I believe I own one more MSI mainboard with NVIDIA chipset.
I also believe I have 1 more ASUS mainboards with NVIDIA chipset (Highend one I cannot recall the name right now.).
I can perform some testing 2 weeks later.
