Bug#695968: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: ath.ko starts printing thousands of error messages several minutes after boot
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.35-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Just using the computer normally. For unrelated reasons, the actual network
traffic was being routed through eth0 and not wlan0 (even though wlan0 had a
valid IP address).
Ran my machine all last night and it idled all day today on linux-3.7 without
issue, so it appears that at least the 3.7 kernel is enough to avoid this
problem. Got home, booted back to linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 from unstable, and
within a few minutes, NetworkManager started asking me for my wireless password
again.
Looked at /var/log/messages, and saw thousands of messages. Here's a sampling
of the messages from where they started:

After these messages appear, the wlan0 interface is no longer functional (ie.
it has lost it's IP address and isn't associated with my access point and
'route' no longer has a path for the wlan0 interface).
