xserver-xorg-video-intel > 2.9.1 can't be tested with debian kernels (i've tried 2.6.34 and 2.6.35-rc5 from experimental)

Version 2.12 work with sidux kernel which have KMS enabled for i915.

It is automatically enabled when you install the Debian package of
xserver-xorg-video-intel.  No bug here.

$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf
options i915 modeset=1
$ dpkg -S /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf
xserver-xorg-video-intel: /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf
