Bug#583120: Hibernate broken when KMS enabled on Radeon Mobility M6 LY

Works ok without KMS (radeon loaded + radeon.modeset=0), does not with
KMS (radeon loaded + radeon.modeset=1).

I've not tried without the radeon module loaded at all. Should I?
