Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64
Version: 2.6.26-17
Severity: normal

This doesn't happen everytime, but it happens often. My wireless device
is based on a broadcom 4318 as can be evidenced below. When I boot, the
firmware is loaded correctly and the LED turns on, but just as I log in
the LED turns off and this causes Network-Manager to fail to
automatically connect to my wireless network. A minute goes by and then
the LED turns back on. This causes me to have to manually connect.

I did the following:

# grep -i b43 /var/log/*

Registered led device: b43-phy0::radio

It can be seen from this output that b43-phy0 is reloaded automatically
after a minute of being shut off (for reasons that elude me). It is also
assigned to a different input.

This didn't happen to my computer when I was using kernel 2.6.24 (Ubuntu
8.04) or 2.6.27 (Ubuntu 8.10 / OpenSuSe 11.1). This has happened to me
using both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Lenny and using also 2.6.26-1
version.
