Bug#534324: linux-image-2.6.30-1-686: USB disk fails to show up at initramfs
This is still true with 2.6.32-trunk-686:
using rootdelay eventually fails after a wait of 180secs because the root which resides on a USB disk is never found.
This makes Debian kernels for my system unusable.
The odd thing is that it does *NOT* happen with my own kernel, using the latest stable release
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.32.2.tar.bz2
and I include the .config herewith.
