Hopefully those people won't run a kernel from unstable. In fact,
I've so far only heard from two people who ran into this problem and
both have a serial console.

You like crying over spilt milk, don't you? We support a lot of NAS
devices and I cannot test every single change on every device. The
DNS-323 is very low priority for me. If you want to volunteer testing
kernels on this machine, you're welcome.
