I really don't know what you expect.  If you install a kernel from
unstable, you have to live with breakage from time to time.  And the
installation guide for Debian on DNS-323 clearly says that you will
need a serial console if somethin goes wrong, so it's not as if you
hadn't been warned.

Anything before 2.6.32 or (when it's uploaded) 2.6.32-3.
