Package: linux-image-2.6.30-1-686
Version: 2.6.30-1
Severity: normal

Hi, with debian kernel linux 2.6.30 I get this on boot:

[ 24.516258] CONFIG_NF_CT_ACCT is deprecated and will be removed soon. Please use
[ 24.516309] nf_conntrack.acct=1 kernel paramater, acct=1 nf_conntrack module option or
[ 24.516359] sysctl net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_acct=1 to enable it.

Please consider one of the proposed solutions for this (or something else :)

Thanks a lot,
Rodrigo

There is nothing wrong with the kernel. This feature has been deprecated
by the kernel developers, see Documentation/feature-removal-schedule.txt
for details:

---------------------------

What: CONFIG_NF_CT_ACCT
When: 2.6.29
Why: Accounting can now be enabled/disabled without kernel recompilation.
Currently used only to set a default value for a feature that is also
      controlled by a kernel/module/sysfs/sysctl parameter.
Who: Krzysztof Piotr Oledzki <ole@ans.pl>

The message serves the purpose to inform users of the changes they need
to apply.

Cheers,
