Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-686-bigmem
Version: 2.6.26-1
Severity: important

I have an Asus P5Q motherboard. It has a Marvell 88SE6121 Controller
inside that takes care of the IDE connection. Under the EtchnHalf
2.6.24 kernel, this works just fine and I can access the DVD ROM drive I
have connected to it. Under 2.6.25+ kernels, this is simply not there.

According to what I could find on the net, this is a regression of the
2.6.25 and 2.6.26 kernels.

Under dmesg, I have the following errors pertaining to this.

[ 6.161732] ata5: SATA max UDMA/133 abar m1024@0xfeaffc00 port
0xfeaffd00 irq 16
[ 6.161732] ata6: SATA max UDMA/133 abar m1024@0xfeaffc00 port
0xfeaffd80 irq 16
[ 6.480206] ata5: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
[ 6.804134] ata6: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

I've also noticed that under 2.6.24, it does not load the MV_AHCI HACK.
While under 2.6.25+ it does. I currently have AHCI switched to IDE in the
motherboard.
