Bug#415112: linux-image-2.6.18-4-amd64: kernel oops in keyring_destroy

Package: linux-image-2.6.18-4-amd64
Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-11
Severity: important

Hi,

I'm running kernel 2.6.18-4-amd64 on a FujitsuSiemens RX 400 computer,
equipped with 8 GB RAM. The computer is used as our file server and
unfortunately, it crashed two times this week with the following kernel
oops (a full dmesg output is available at
( http://www-ds.e-technik.uni-dortmund.de/~jplatte/dmesg.txt )

Unable to handle kernel paging request at 0000000000100108 RIP:
 [<ffffffff802ec036>] keyring_destroy+0x32/0x96

After posting this bug on LKML I got a reply stating that this bug is
already known and a fix is available:
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8067
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7727

After the oops the computer is mostly unusable, for example samba is
unable to handle any requests and it is unable to shut down and reboot
properly. Therefore I'm marking this bug important.
