package: usplash version: 0.3e Hi, when I installed usplash on my imac (=newworld powerpc) running etch, the initrd got updated nicely, but not the bootloader. I had to add "append=splash" to the image in /etc/yaboot.conf. After modifying yaboot.conf you need to run /usr/sbin/ybin to update the bootloader. (On oldworld machines this needs to be done in /etc/quick.conf.) regards, Holger
