Re: kernel-image-2.4.27-2-k7 missing CPU name from description

Hi Horms,

Thank you for your reply.

[...]
"Linux kernel image for version 2.4.27 on AMD K7"

Could that be revised as well to include the fact that it is 32bit and supports AlthonXP/Athon/Duron

I expect other pages could do with this addtional information as well:

kernel-image-2.4.27-2-k7-smp

Yes, that sounds quite reasonable to me. Could you please send an updated version of the
text so it can be incpoprated?

Ok Revised 2.4 entries:

Revised: http://packages.debian.org/testing/base/kernel-image-2.4.27-2-k7
=======================================
This package contains the Linux kernel image for version 2.4.27 targeted for 32bit AMD Duron/Athlon/AthlonXP, the corresponding System.map file, and the modules built by the packager. It also contains scripts that try to ensure that the system is not left in a unbootable state after an update.
=================

Revised: http://packages.debian.org/testing/base/kernel-image-2.4-k7-smp
=========================
This package will always depend on the latest 2.4 kernel image available for 32bit AMD Duron/Athlon/AthlonXP with SMP support. SMP (symmetric multi-processing) is needed if you have multiple processors.

Revised brief package descriptoins:
http://packages.debian.org/testing/base/

===================
kernel-image-2.4-k7 (101)
    Linux kernel image for version 2.4 on 32bit AMD Duron/Athlon/AthlonXP
kernel-image-2.4-k7-smp (101)
    Linux kernel image for version 2.4 on 32bit AMD Duron/Athlon/AthlonXP
=================

Would you be able to make the same revisions, essentially adding "32bit AMD Duron/Athlon/AthlonXP" to the 2.6 kernel entries? In addition, perhaps you can add to the unstable descriptions as well as the testing descriptions?

Do these changes look ok for you?

Kind regards
JG
