Bug#333831: #333831 Debian BTS

Sorry, I'm being dense as regards the typos.

'irqpoll' does indeed change the behaviour of the 2.6.14-1 stock kernel
on this laptop.

On boot I see one of these traces, or stack dumps, spewed to console
(and dmesg, see below, truncated at the end of relevant messages I
hope), but no hang at loading the CD module.

The CD player is seen by the OS, and gnome-cd plays a few bars from the
CD, then the machine reboots (screen darkens and straight to Bios splash
screen, no log entries, no error codes).

(Aside, somehow I seemed to have gnome-media installed without the gst
cdparanoia dependency - odd but presumably unrelated and easily fixed).
