Package: yaird
Version: 0.0.11-3
Severity: normal

Yaird package has a poor choice for default Template.cfg.
2 different set of files are provided in the /usr/lib/yaird/conf
directory.
One named Debian.cfg (the Template.cfg is a copy of this file).
One named Debian-initrd.cfg.

The default Template.cfg make yaird generate an initrd file with a /init
script making it usuitable for initrd replacement (at least using the
cramfs format), but correct for a initramfs file.
To use yaird as a replacement of the initrd-tools, one has to replace
Template.cfg with the Debian-initrd.cfg file generating a /linuxrc
suitable for booting the initrd file.

My machine needs an initrd to mount the lvm2 root filesystem.
And without doing the described modification, there is no way to
generate a correct file.

No response from bugreporter, and the issue seems like a simple
misunderstanding. So closing it as a non-bug.
