Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-2-sparc64
Version: 2.6.8-6
I installed Debian stable with kernel 2.4.18 on a SUN Netra T1. Then I edited the /etc/apt/source.list so that I can download the testing packages.
Now I did a
debian:~# apt-get update
and
debian:~# apt-get upgrade
to install the testing packages. After that I did
debian:~# apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.8-2-sparc64
to update the kernel.
Now i edited the /etc/silo.conf and did a reboot.
my silo.conf:
partition=1
root=/dev/sda1
timeout=200
image=1/vmlinuz
initrd=1/initrd.img
label=linux
read-only
root=/dev/sda1
image=1/vmlinuz.old
initrd=1/initrd.img
label=linux-old
read-only
debian:~# ls -al /initrd.img
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 31 Mar 11 10:18 /initrd.img -> boot/initrd.img-2.6.8-2-4
debian:~# ls -al /vmlinuz
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Mar 11 10:18 /vmlinuz -> boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-2-sparc64
After reboot I got this error-message:
