Package: kernel-image-2.4.18-686
Version: 2.4.18-4
Severity: important

I run the cyrus21 packages from unstable, which enable full journaling on
the mail spool. When cyrus21 starts on boot, everything is fine, but if I
stop it and restart it, the following error message is printed and the
system stops responding:

--8<--
Message from syslogd@deathcap at Thu Apr 11 21:12:23 2002 ...
deathcap kernel: Assertion failure in journal_revoke() at revoke.c:330:
"!(__builtin_constant_p(BH_Revoked) ? constant_test_bit((BH_Revoked),(
&bh->b_state)) : variable_test_bit((BH_Revoked),( &bh->b_state)))"
--8<--

The kernel code seems to continue execution, since the machine responds to
an icmp ping and continues doing NAT and other TCP/IP functions. All disk
access is stopped, however.

The kernel is the one shipped in kernel-image-2.4.18-686.
