Dear all,

When I click on a .gz file in Konqueror, it opens up Ark and that's not I
want. I want Konqueror to open that .gz file by calling up the gzip:/
protocol directly. I tried going into file association settings but I
found no clue on how to do it. I'm using Squeeze.

Hi,
Open Konqueror->  Settings->Configure Konqueror->File
Managment->Navigation->Open archives as folder
It does not work. Is it a bug in KDE?

I really don't know, it works in my Squeeze and Sid.
Click on apt-offline-1.0.tar.gz open in Konqueror 'tar:/home/path/to/apt-offline-1.0.tar.gz/'

Can you do it with Dolphin?

What happens if you write path (tar:/home/username/your.tar.gz) in Konqueror path/url field and press enter?
