Are you sure these are not packaging bugs?  Many of those problems seem too 
conspicuous to have stayed unfixed.  I would think upstream wouldn't have 
released 3.5.0 without fixing those problems if everybody was experiencing 
them.

Anyway, it is probably easier for a package maintainer to verify that a 
problem is not due to packaging than for an upstream developer to verify that 
it is not due to upstream code.  Hopefully some of the package maintainers 
will comment on my list of problems.
