Just to confirm, I assume `groups` shows that you are a member of the cdrom 
group?

One other thing to check: I think kaudiocreator needs access to the raw 
device - i.e. /dev/cdrom, and may fail to get it if the device is mounted.  
Although, can you even mount audio cds?
