Yes.  I have had similar experiences when trying to build Quanta 3.0 
on my Debian testing/unstable computer with KDE 3.0.4.    I would 
really like to be able to use Quanta for web pages but as things are 
I have to use another distribution to do that.  Even tried apt-build 
source etc.  Still refuses to work or build.
