This means that the maintainers don't have to do the fairly huge amount of
work involved in transitioning KDE to the new ABI. It can simply be dropped
into sid as a replacement for KDE2 without having to work on compatability or
anything. Its just much easier for everyone. I think. If I'm wrong, please
correct me :)
