More on libkdeui problems

After an extensive google search it seems I'm not the only one who has had problems with libkdeui. Unfortunately, most of the site found are mailing lists that have been purged, but the basic gist I get is this is related to conflicting libs, which is what I thought in the first place, if I can only find out which libs are in conflict. Everything I've seen on my system points to kdelibs3:

progeny:~# dpkg -S dcopserver
kdelibs3: /usr/bin/dcopserver
kdelibs3: /usr/lib/dcopserver.so
kdelibs3: /usr/lib/dcopserver.la
progeny:~# dpkg -l kdelibs3
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii kdelibs3 2.2.2-3 KDE core libraries (runtime files)
progeny:~#

and the measages I have seen also mention libqt:

progeny:~# dpkg -l *qt*|grep ii
ii libqt2 2.3.1-16 Qt GUI Library (runtime version).
ii qt-doc 2.3.1-14 Tutorial and reference documentation

I've even run ldconfig to see if that could fix anything but I still get the libkdeui errors when I run any kde app's. Does anyone know if any other libs could be affecting my set-up ro anything else that might explain these problems?

Cheers,

	John Gay
