Re: KDE 2.2 Final / Potato - Not ?

I'm running Progeny, but I've only ever tried KDE2.1 with it. Progeny is a
strange mix of stable and testing, mostly stable with a few nice GUI
install tools added. IIRC, one of the major problems between Potato and 2.2
was many libs would need upgrading and mixing libs can be quite hazardous
to your systems health. I 'believe' that a true testing system would be
suficient though unstable would probably be better. I'm sure that others on
this list could better clarify which would be the minimum requirements for
2.2 I just wanted to let you know where Progeny stands. I don't think
Progeny would be sufficient, though I have not had the nerve to try it
myself yet. Progeny does include X4.x.x, so it could offer some advantage
for TT fonts and AA but I think you would need to upgrade many libs before
2.2 would work.
