Prova prima a configurare il tutto in questo modo:

auto eth1 eth1:1
iface eth1 inet dhcp
iface eth0:1 inet static
    address 192.168.0.2
    network 192.168.0.0
    netmask 255.255.255.0
Ho provato e non funziona niente

Nota: ho visto che avevi copiato "netmask 255.255.255" qualche mail fa ... penso/spero sia un errore di copia/incolla
sì era un errore in copia e incolla, anzi manca anche l'ultima riga:
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.0.0

Se non funziona, allora prova a controllare anche cosa c'è nelle sottodirectory di
/etc/network/

Io non so cosa ci dovrebbe essere, ma comunque guarda qui, c'è qualche cosa di sospetto, anche se funziona:
