This can certainly be integrated in the scripts that generate these material directories, yes. Until Denis can do it (I'm not sure that he's available right now), I have setup a small cron job that creates tar files for these directories: http://people.debian.org/~bubulle/l10n/material/po/{unstable|testing}.tar --
