Hello Joey, hello i18n I make the first files from the ddtp db. Please look at http://ddtp.debian.org/debconf/maintainer and you will see a list of all package maintainers with debconf templates. On the pages you will find a list of debconf po file links. The first file http://ddtp.debian.org/debconf/maintainer/93sam@debian.org.html as example: !+ * nas/templates-de.po 0/2/2 9/9 translated !nas/templates-ja.po 0/0/2 0/9 translated !nas/templates-pt_BR.po 0/0/2 0/9 translated !nas/templates-pt_PT.po 0/0/2 0/9 translated !nas/templates-fr.po 0/0/2 0/9 translated !... the '+' means: there are some new translation from the DDTP the '*' means: all debconf descriptions are translated the first number block means: - number of translations in the last sid package - number of translations from the DDTP - number of debconf descriptions from the last sid package the last number block means: - translated po texts - total number of po texts The file http://ddtp.debian.org/debconf/maintainer/ALL_finished.txt is a list of all maintainers with new and full translated debconf templates. http://ddtp.debian.org/debconf/maintainer/ALL_unfinished.txt include all maintainers with new debconf templates translations. Are this list ok (understandable)? Please can someone test some po files? Maybe someone can write a guide, how a package maintainer can use this po files and how he can move from the old debconf templates to the po files. Maybe someone have some links?! Joey: If you remove the '.po' from the links, you will get the old debconf templates files. Now I don't add the encoding to this files. Make debconf-mergetemplate problems if I add the encoding in this old files? (like Description-de.ISO-8859-1: xxx) If someone have questions, comments, please mail. Thanks for your help.
