I can confirm this running emacs remotely on my Debian GNU/Hurd system
via a `ssh -X' connection from a GNU/Linux system; with the only change
that my system doesn't ``go crazy'', but I get a segmentation fault
instead.

emacs-snapshot shows exactly the same behaviour.

Running it through gdb only told me the following so far:
