I uploaded a fixed apt 0.5.3. The (tiny) patch is in bug#92025. Jeff, you may want to suspend apt building until that is incorporated. I did test the new apt somewhat, but then had to give the Hurd box to my SO. If something breaks, flames go to me. A patch that makes pam build again has been filed in bug#91998. A patch to a longstanding bug (su not suid) has been appended to bug#78372. -- Robbe
