Help with building kaffe on hppa [was: Re: [kaffe] Debian buildd results]
Hi all,
Helmer Krämer looks closer to the buildd log of kaffe on hppa and here
are some primary conclusions... (see attachment)
Is it something known or maybe someone with specific hppa knowledge can
have a look at the log and help on this?
I hope the mail-followup-to is correctly set to kaffe@kaffe.org. In any
case, please, cc kaffe@kaffe.org, many thanks.
Many thanks to all of you for your time and help,
Arnaud.

don't really know what's going wrong here. The file
"libraries/clib/math/.deps/BigInteger.Plo" should've
been created by the config.status script.
Looking at the build log, it seems like the depfiles
pass of config.status crashes:
"
config.status: executing depfiles commands
malloc: ../bash/subst.c:2508: assertion botched
malloc: block on free list clobbered
Stopping myself...config.status: executing default-1 commands
"
So if config.status crashed just before creating the
BigInteger.Plo file, make would correctly complain
about a missing file later on.
So it looks like we've found some bash stress test ?!??
Regards,
Helmer
