We are in exactly the same boat here. Luckily, this problem is
currently only affecting a few of the sys admins' workstations and
none of our production servers. However, if this shows up in a future
stable release, obviously we will not be able to continue to use
Debian unless Veritas fixes their software (highly unlikely) or the
workaround remains in place.
