ldconfig broken for libc_2.3.2ds1-8

hi there,

after a libc upgrade to 2.3.2.ds1-8 from 2.3.2-9 on an ibm
thinkpad, i'm getting:

which leaves me with a pretty unusable system
as most packages do run ldconfig in their post-install
scripts.
