Successful test on i386

On i386, the make check passed with only the usual expected error in
annexc.out.  As expected, install-info threw up during the install
phase.

None of the other-arch machines I can get to have gcc-3.2 and a recent
binutils installed.  Can anyone who has a chance test this out?  When
install-info is working and another snapshot comes out, I'll get
hardcore about testing.
