As said, I would avoid to link the official GPL version of AGG (2.5)
and embed instead 2.4 within the mapserver code, else we have to
GPLize mapserver. Also, due to (officially) intensive use of templates,
AGG upstream is not inclined to provide a non-static version of
the library.
