Package: ttf-freefont Version: 20090104-2 Severity: important I just updated ttf-freefont and I'm now seeing rather strange characters in displayed web pages. As near as I can tell, the problem is with Unicode single and double quotes, which appear to be "corrupting" characters next to them, turning them into unexpected Unicode characters. Attached is a screen shot from Firefox viewing Planet Debian that shows the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ttf-freefont depends on: ii defoma 0.11.10-0.2 Debian Font Manager -- automatic f Versions of packages ttf-freefont recommends: ii x-ttcidfont-conf 32 TrueType and CID fonts configurati ttf-freefont suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
