Please try this on a laptop, to see if any of the DNS server addresses work.

  host www 10.0.2.2
  host www 192.168.0.254

I hope one of them work.  Please also report the content of /etc/resolv.conf
on the laptop, so we know what DHCP handed out as the DNS setup.

I checked the DHCP configuration in LDAP, and there 'tjener' is listed as the
DNS server, leaving it to dhcpd to figure out which IP address to pass on to
the client.
