We need about 6 schools/institutions/businesses/private companies/local
authorities/etc etc. MUST BE GEOGRAPHICALLY WIDELY SPREAD
North/East/South/West

We need a co-ordinator.

At the Dublin conference
http://www.hea.ie/index.cfm/page/sub/id/968
it was indicated that an application from a school or e-twinned schools as
the coordinator would be welcome. Anybody out there with experience of this?

Deadline for applications in Nov 1 2005.

In general, it seems that about 10% of projects make it through the process

pre-proposals 1 Nov 2005

fill proposals 1 Mar 2006

start 1 Oct 2006

Duration: 1-2 years (3 years in special cases).

In 2005, average project got 285000 euro.
Funding is MAX 75% of project costs, so the project group has to raise 25%
MIN of costs.

4 project strands + budgets (see p106 of guide)

1. Understanding innovation E2 million
2. Designing, developing and testing new methods and educational resources
E5 million
3. Providing access and supporting dissemination E2 million
4. Activities to support the exchange of ideas and experience relating to
ODL and the use of ICT in education E1 million

Best Wishes
