Hi,
The maintainer of KITE GNU/Linux[1] OS will be coming to DebConf. KITE
GNU/Linux OS is the operating system that is used in public schools in
Kerala state for ICT Education[2]. The latest KITE GNU/Linux OS is
derived from Ubuntu 20.04.
We are planning to spend a day with him to discuss about how to
collaborate with KITE Kerala. It would be great if people from Debian
Edu community also join that discussion.
We are planning for a day in DebCamp, let us know if anyone has
preferred date if they would like to join the discussion.
Possible steps we see,
1. Get a list of software used in kite gnu/linux and prepare list of
unpackaged software. Then ask community for help in packaging them.
2. Help Hakkim mash generate KITE iso from Debian Edu as base.
3. Create a space in Debian Edu salsa group for KITE specific things or
have an option to have multiple profiles.
