Just because one works with the upstream project does not make them the best decision maker for a wider Operating System. His naive thought process reflects why Opensuse was such a failing project in itself. These days, there is this new herd, that thinks distributions are a waste. That simple rootfs images, the likes of Docker and Containers, will kill everything else. We'll see. That articles shouldn't have been bumped on LWN in the first place.
