Hi all,
 Dunno if its relevant or not but few days ago Lucas packaged all the
relevant information in a package called packaging-tutorial.

$ aptitude show packaging-tutorial
Package: packaging-tutorial
State: not installed
Version: 0.1
Priority: extra
Section: doc
Maintainer: Lucas Nussbaum <lucas@debian.org>
Uncompressed Size: 901 k
Description: introduction to Debian packaging
 This tutorial is an introduction to Debian packaging. It teaches prospective
 developers how to modify existing packages, how to create their own
 packages, and how to interact with the Debian community. In addition to the
 main tutorial, it includes three practical sessions on modifying the 'grep'
 package, and packaging the 'gnujump' game and a Java library.

As can be seen, right now its in unstable

$ apt-show-versions -a packaging-tutorial
Not installed
No stable version
No testing version
packaging-tutorial 0.1 sid ftp.us.debian.org
packaging-tutorial not installed

So most probably it would in the stable repo. there for wheezy .

Btw does anybody know what's happening about the minidebconf ? Any updates ?
