Hi,

since the upgrade to dpkg 1.10 dpkg-source does warn about time
mismatchs.

For example:

$ apt-get source kover
[...]
dpkg-source: extracting kover in kover-0.8.3
Not setting time of file Makefile.in (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file config.guess (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file admin/config.guess (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file admin/config.sub (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/cddb_fill.cpp (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/cdrom.cc (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/config.cc (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/inexact_dialog.cc (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/categories.cc (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/cdrom_cddb.cc (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/cdrom.h (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/cdrom_cddb.h (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/inexact_dialog.h (time mismatch)
Not setting time of file kover/categories.h (time mismatch)

This happens on _all_ packages (I tried with fileutils, kover,
kdevelop, glibc).

After discovering that, I downgraded to dpkg-dev 1.9.21 with a deb
from http://snapshot.debian.net.

Moreover, I tested running dpkg-source on a woody box on my university
and there wasn't problems too (dpkg-dev 1.9.18)

After downgrading to 1.9.21 the messages disappeared and all went
without problems as it did before...

So this has to be happened between 1.9.21 and 1.10.

These errors are not specific to an user, I tried with serveral users
and even as root.

And yes, my time is right on my PC :)

Regards,

Rene
