I suspect this will produce the best output at the moment. 

If anyone wants to play with it, the dpkg CVS tree has DocBook
documentation (partial reference manual and a bunch of manpages).
Currently in SGML, but if I remember correctly the only thing you
need to change to turn them into XML is the header.
