Bug#245545: general: testing upgrade breaks loading of modules at boot time
Package: general
Severity: normal
Hi, I've just updated my testing box after a delay of some months and
my list of modules in /etc/modules is no longer being processed at
boot. Running /etc/init.d/modutils seems to restore things. The link
/etc/rcS.d/S20modutils is still correct.
Sorry to disturb debian-devel but I'm not sure where to file this. I
initially thought it was a modutils problem but modprobe and all the
modutils scripts still work. This makes me think it's an issue with
the boot sequence.
This is a laptop that gets booted about three times a day, so this is
a big irritation for me. Thanks for your excessively patient
assistance and I'll be happy to provide any extra information I can.
Rob
