Hi. sorry for the delay. But, I really think this is a question for 
debian-user, and that's the reason why you have been mostly ignored :-)

Tried installing both with dpkg, in one sweep?
Remembered apt-get update? You can followup to me in private instead 
of the list, and I'll try to help
