It doesn't. <flame mode on> So, you're unhappy with the fact that it takes quite a while for Debian to come up with a release. You've assumed a reason for that ("there's too much"), but haven't done any effort to check whether that actually _is_ the reason[1]. Moreover, in an effort to try to "fix" the problem, you blatantly show no interest in any of our users except yourself[2] and suggest to throw out even the most critical parts of _any_ system, the documentation. Yet, you expect people to agree with you? Sorry, that's too much asked. <flame mode off> If you really think it takes too long for Debian to release, there are much better ways to work towards a solution than just to throw out more than half our packages. I suggest you subscribe to debian-release@lists.debian.org (if you haven't already) and try to be helpful there; I suppose that'd be a lot better way to make sure Debian releases more often. [1] If you have, I haven't seen it. [2] Calling much of the system "crap" and suggesting to throw out everything you, personally, would never use is what I would describe as "caring only about yourself". -- Wouter Verhelst Debian GNU/Linux -- http://www.debian.org Nederlandstalige Linux-documentatie -- http://nl.linux.org "Stop breathing down my neck."
