Description : network bandwidth limiting through LD_PRELOAD
Netbrake is an utility to limit the incoming bandwidth used by a process
without requiring any kernel modifications, nor root privileges. It uses
a small LD_PRELOAD library to hook into the appropriate library and
system calls.
It is useful for avoiding bandwidth starvation for other applications
e.g. WWW or IRC, when download large files over a slow connection.
An experimental HTTP filesystem is also provided, allowing URLs to be
treated as regular files.
