I found it somewhat alien. However, the fact that I was backporting apt-src,
linux-wlan-ng, and a few things they depended on to woody at the same time
probably didn't help.

I've just tried it again, and apart from some funnies with debhelper versions,
it went quite well. When I tried it initially, I fiddled with a number of
things, and eventually had to do it the kernel-package way. That was with
linux-wlan-ng 0.14.1 (or thereabouts) and apt-src 0.11 or so. It does appear
to have improved quite a bit since then.

I do think that there's an intermediate level of user/developer that is
already familiar with using kernel-package, and who will resist a change to
apt-src. I think that these people could benefit from more/improved
documentation about apt-src, how it differs from kernel-package, and what the
rationale for changing is. I.e. hand-holding to ease the transition.
